   The Society for Sailing Barge Research

FAMILY HISTORY

 

 

The Society holds in excess of 4500 records of barges detailing such things as ports of registry and registration details, dimensions, tonnages, rigs, builders and subsequent owners.  The details of barges that are specific to you are available from:-

At this moment in time we DO NOT hold records of barge crews. The following is a list of useful sources of information that you can use to trace your family history/maritime research through the various institutions, record offices, archives, libraries and web sites that are accessible to the general public.
